Beautiful Fanad Head Lighthouse, County Donegal, Ireland - Fanad (Fánaid) is a peninsula that lies between Lough Swilly and Mulroy Bay. This Lighthouse was constructed after a tragedy in 1811 when the ship Saldanha was wrecked off the northern coast. The ship’s parrot was the only survivor. Not far from here is a spectacular natural arch (Great Arch). This shot faces sunrise, I was fortunate that I had those clouds to catch what, in the end, was a rather dull sunset in the other direction.
