Ponte Sisto (a pedestrian bridge), Rome, Italy - This bridge connects Via dei Pettinari in the Rione of Regola to Piazza Trilussa in Trastevere. The bridge was built between 1473 and 1479, and was commissioned by Pope Sixtus IV. The bridge is interesting because of the circular hole, which was created to diminish the River Tiber's pressure on the bridge during times of flooding.
