Illinois - JoeDanielPrice

The Richard J. Daley Center, Daley Plaza, Picasso Sculpture, Christmas Tree, Chicago, The Loop, Illinois, America - The plaza is dominated by a 50-foot steel sculpture by Pablo Picasso (The Picasso, built in 1967). It was a gift to the people of City from the artist (Picasso actually turned down an offer of payment of $100,000). The sculpture can be seen briefly in the film The Fugitive, as Harrison Ford (Richard Kimble) was chased across the plaza. The plaza also features an eternal flame memorial to the dead from WWI, WWII, Korean War and the Vietnam War.
