The Agios Minas Cathedral, Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Heraklion, Crete, Greece. It was built in 1895 and is one of the largest cathedrals in Greece, with a capacity of 8,000 people. Saint Minas, from which the church is named, is the patron saint of Heraklion and his feast day (11th November) there is a public holiday. Located to the left of this church is the original smaller church of Saint Minas. Heraklion has a beautiful old harbour, including its famous Fortress.
