The Confederate Memorial Carving located at Stone Mountain, Atlanta, Georgia, America. is believed to be the highest relief sculpture in the world, located 400 feet off the ground. The enormous carving was completed in 1972 and depicts Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Gens. Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson in relief. The relief itself measures 76 by 158 feet and is recessed 42 feet into the mountain. The summit of the mountain (1,686 feet) can be reached by foot on the west side of the mountain or by the cable car.
