Telus World of Science (aka Science World), False Creek, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities I have visited, despite being the most densely populated city in Canada. It is named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life for more than a decade. The city's name itself derived from George Vancouver, who explored the Burrard Inlet in 1792. Vancouver has many fantastic skyline shots, the best locations for these are Burrard Street Bridge, Vancouver Seawall at Stanley Park and further out Cypress Mountain Vancouver outlook which includes the Lions Gate Bridge with the city in the distance.
Gastown Steam Clock, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - This clock is powered by a steam engine, only a few functioning steam clocks still exist. Another steam clock is located at Chelsea Farmers' Market in London, England. In 1859, the engineer John Inshaw created the mechanism in which a boiler produced the steam that condensed into droplets, falling on a plate at regular intervals, the plate then drove the mechanism.
